"No Dissertation" is (as you will quickly hear) a parody of the Rolling Stones song "Satisfaction".Ironically, Pam, the female vocalist, starting writing the song about the same time last year that I completed "The Unfinished Thesis", which is very similar in message and feeling.

Just as a note, the videos can be choppy on some computers. It helps if you click the little button on the right side of the screen called "HD" and make it say "HD is off". It tends to play much better that way.

Now there are economists around the globe either admiring Berkeley grad students' mad music-video-making-skillz, or wondering what's wrong with the department that students are devoting their time to this instead of research.
We loved them! We have sent others to look at it, too. You do make graduate school look a lot more fun than it probably is, but then again maybe they need to perk up their image some!
